Prescription Refills
Making Prescription Refills Easier
Many prescriptions can be refilled directly through your pharmacy.
When your prescription is eligible for a refill, your pharmacy may contact our office for authorization. Our team will respond to the pharmacy as appropriate.
Plan Ahead for Your Refills
If you need to request a refill through our office, please contact us during regular business hours.
Please plan ahead. Refill requests are not processed during weekends, holidays, or after-hours.
What You’ll Need
When requesting a refill, please have:
• Medication name
• Medication dosage
• Pharmacy name
• Pharmacy telephone number
Having this information ready helps us process your request more efficiently.
Some Refills Require an Appointment or Lab Work:
Certain medications require regular monitoring, an office visit, or blood work before they can be refilled.
If you know your medication requires an appointment or fasting blood work, please contact us when you have approximately two weeks of medication remaining.
This gives us time to schedule your appointment or testing before you run out of medication.
Examples may include medications for:
• Cholesterol
• Diabetes
• Thyroid conditions
• High blood pressure
• Certain mental health conditions
Your provider will let you know when follow-up visits or laboratory monitoring are needed.

Prescription refills are reviewed based on your individual medical needs and treatment plan.
Certain medications may have additional requirements or restrictions.
For safety and medical reasons, controlled or narcotic medications may not be handled through routine refill requests.
